Sturtevant’s Announces ownership change
After 30 years of business, the owners of Sturtevant’s, a specialty ski shop in Bellevue, are handing their ski poles over to the next generation. But while Duncan and Janet Campbell have sold their interest in Sturtevant’s parent company, Dual Sports, Inc., it will be business as usual for the company’s snow-brained shop this winter.
“From the many years I’ve spent managing our shops, I have gained the knowledge and ability to ensure daily operations run smoothly for all of our stores in my new role as President and Chief Operating Officer,” said Tracy Gibbons, who has been the General Manager for Dual Sports the past eight years.
Gibbons is joined by childhood friends and longtime co-workers Jeff Campbell and Stacey Weichbrodt. Jeff is the Campbell’s son who has taken the position of Chief Financial Officer. The store’s advertising manager is Stacey Weichbrodt, the Campbell’s Duncan’s niece, who will also assume responsibility as a minor shareholder and be the store’s apparel purchaser.
